TAPON RADIO BROADCAST STANDARDS
AND TAPON APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
1. All programs must be presented in a certain format: mp3 recording format; no less than 128 kbps speed; and 28.5 minutes in length including intro and outro.
2. All programs must be uploaded through Tapon Program Support located at Taponlive.org under the Tapon Radio section.
3. All half hour programs must be no longer than 28.5 minutes in length which includes the intro and outro.
4. Programs cannot be re-aired more than three (3) times and never consecutively; also, any re-airing of a program should be utilized for emergency purposes only.
5. The radio station will retain three of your programs in the event of a damaged program during the delivery requiring immediate replacement. Selection of the replacement program will be at the discretion of station personnel.
6. You are advised that all programs should have a “Call to Action” statement included in the program.
7. Programs that include some form of dating can only be aired once. For instance, all reference to holidays, weather, time and/or calendar is defined as dating your show.
8. Holiday programs that are adaptable to a particular season may be re-aired, but should not be dated.
9. Programs must have the appropriate contact info.
10. All annual media member fees must be paid and weekly offerings must be adhered to.
11. A full and complete application and review is required before any organization or individual seeking approval will be allowed to broadcast on Tapon Radio.
